Step 1: Navigate to policies, and click on Browser Customization.
Step 2: Click on Create policy and select the browser on which you want to block websites.
Step 3: Name the policy.
Step 4: Click on URL access from the left tree.
Step 5: Click on the drop down list and select the website group that you want to block. Click here for steps to create website groups.
Step 6: Click on the drop down list corresponding to action, and click on URL blacklist.
Step 7: Save and publish the policy.
With the Whitelist URLs feature, users will be allowed to access only those URLs whitelisted by IT admins, making the remaining URLs inaccessible to users. This feature allows access only to sites that are an absolute necessity for business. For example, whitelisting site groups like productivity and business ensures that users will only be able to access sites defined in the productivity and business groups while restricting access to any other sites. Step 6: Click on the drop down list corresponding to action, and click on URL whitelist.
Step 7: Save and publish the policy.
Drive-by downloads are a popular means to spread malware. Unsuspecting users get infected with malware when they land on malicious websites. This can be prevented by restricting downloads from untrusted websites.
